Shopping For a Car Shouldn’t Be Scary!
February, 2008

I’ve been a consumer for around 40 years, in regards to buying cars, and I know that one of the “scariest” things to do in life is to go out and be bombarded by anxious car dealers and new salespeople who may seem a little too pushy or over-bearing. Especially if you find yourself in a new town. Have you ever had this experience?

These days, the vast majority of consumers are using the Internet and reading ads, talking to friends, and poring through various publications to try to come up with the best value, price, deal, or whatever. This can get very confusing, and, especially if you are PRINTING stuff from the Internet, you can end up with stacks of stuff. Ultimately, you must shore yourself up and actually enter a dealership with all this information in hand and give it your best “shot.” You really can’t buy a car on the phone or over the internet. Eventually, you must go see it, drive it, touch it, and experience the driving characteristics of your new vehicle.

For the past eight years, I’ve been in the car-sales business, having spent most of my life in the food business, but that is another story. I help people every day through the process of figuring out what their needs are in a vehicle, what they liked or disliked about their current vehicle, what will work for their needs, (now and into the future), and family budget. Buying a vehicle can be a big investment, generally right behind buying a house, and needs to be done carefully. It’s an important decision! I will work with and for you, and do the best I can to meet your needs!

This really should be a FUN and exciting process, and driving home in your new car, truck or SUV is a real thrill.

Let me help you through the process of determining your needs, and budget, give you a few options, and then, when you are ready, I trust that you will use a salesperson whom you can like, trust, and has integrity. By the way, the dealership I work for, Babbitt Ford Lincoln Mercury, was the First Ford Dealership in Arizona-1912! How’s that for integrity? I will not pressure you, but I will help you gather all the information to make an informed decision-that’s all you really want anyway, isn’t it? Call on me, we’ll get together and I’ll show you our new exciting vehicles, and YOU DECIDE!

I’ll see you “down the road.”
