Massage is More Than Just "AAHHH"

When you think of massage…what comes to mind?

Massage is best known for its ability to help reduce stress, relieve pain, boost the immune system, increase blood and lymphatic circulation and promote a general sense of relaxation and well being. Massage and bodywork also work on many deeper layers than just the physical to encourage the body’s innate self healing mechanism. It can effect changes on both an emotional and spiritual level. Bodywork can help to promote a sense of self confidence and help build a positive self image as well as promoting an integration of body and mind.

In a bodywork session there are different energy levels that can be affected. The physical body feels, and is positively effected by the touch it receives. The body is always searching for a state of balance or homeostasis. The physical body holds within its tissues a cellular memory of old patterns and emotional traumas. Trauma and old patterns can be released from the muscle tissue and the cells during a bodywork session. With the use of different massage modalities and energy work, an individual can release the old emotional and mental bruises as well and rebalance allowing a new pattern to emerge through which healing can occur body mind and spirit.

To get the most out of a therapeutic bodywork and energy session, especially in Sedona, it would be helpful to set an intention before the session.

Some examples of an intention could be; to just feel good, relax, release of the old, gain clarity of certain issues, greater awareness of being and spirit, insight, balancing, peace, relieve muscle stress, cleansing, or detoxification. Massage and bodywork, when experienced with an intent in mind and an energy connection between client and therapist, can raise the vibration and magnify the healing benefits of the session.

Sedona is a perfect place to receive a massage. Sedona is known for its outstanding beauty, spectacular red rocks, vortexes and powerful energy. It is said that whatever you hold in your consciousness will be magnified and multiplied while in Sedona. This is absolutely true for bodywork, massage and energetic balancing. So why not use Sedona’s wonderful energy to maximize your healing experience! Massage is a sacred and wonderful gift that you can give to yourself.
