Kari Heckt is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor who specializes in coaching clients to advance and maintain their fitness level by using functional movement.
Clients will learn specific exercises, training techniques, and equipment selection to help them get fit and healthy, stay fit and healthy, or advance their fitness level.
The results of the client’s 100% commitment and Kari’s careful and thoughtful lifestyle assessment is a fitness road map leading the client to a better understanding of how their body works and what it takes to stay fit for life.

Since 2002 Kari has drawn from her personal experience of transforming her own body from 220 pounds of couch potato to 160 pounds of strength in order to coach and inspire others in reaching their personal fitness goals.
Kari’s work experience includes coordinating, managing, consulting, training, and instructing for several Fitness organizations including Lifetime Fitness, YMCA of Minneapolis, YMCA of Greater St. Paul, and Snap Fitness.
Kari has successfully designed and managed fitness programs for people of all age groups and fitness levels including seniors, teenagers, golfers, bowlers, triathletes, marathon runners, and cyclists. Kari is nationally certified in Personal Training, Mat Pilates, Yoga, SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, BodyPump, BodyVive, Kickboxing, Indoor Group Cycle, PiYo, CPR and First aid.
Kari’s strength lies in her ability to motivate and inspire her clients to achieve their fitness goals while having fun and learning how to move their body in the full range of motion with proper alignment and strength. Using the latest functional fitness assessment techniques, Kari observes and tests client’s muscle groups to evaluate how they are performing together and makes any corrections to posture and form. Spending time getting to know her clients and their current lifestyle enables her to compile this information and custom design an individual road map to optimal health.

Kari offers a variety of Personal Training options including one on one, small group, home and office, and indoor/outdoor. Kari also offers virtual training via the internet, email, or phone. Drawing upon her experience as a Director of Fitness for an inner city YMCA and eight years in the Fitness Industry she will create the home gym that is aligned with your goals and needs.
